Etty Hillesum was a young Dutch Jewish woman who died in Auschwitz in 1943.
During the three years before her deportation, she wrote an outstanding
diary where she proved to be a true spiritual resistant against the Nazi persecution.

This site was created by the French Association "Les Amis d’Etty Hillesum".
According to its statutes, this association "takes, supports and encourages any initiative to publicize the writings of Etty Hillesum (1914-1943) - publications, exhibitions, conferences, symposia, meetings, films, documentaries, plays, study trips etc. -
And promote communication and exchanges about her work".
